Windermere Creek B&B

Canadian Rockies Great Outdoors

This imposing looking fellow dropped in on Scott and Astrid one day. He was identified as a Northern Pygmy Owl and was about 4 inches tall. He stayed around just long enough to get his picture taken; in a few minutes he was gone.

The Windermere area is a wonderful place to experience Canadian natural habitat. The Windermere Creek Bed and Breakfast is situated on 107 acres of land waiting for you to explore. There are over five hours of marked, set trails for you to enjoy.

Creekside Picnic area and hammock

To the left is a picture of one of the creekside picnic areas along one of the trails. You can have lunch at the picnic table while listening to the brook whispering beside you. Perhaps you would like to retreat to the hammock with a good book. Forget the office and the traffic back home; let yourself be refreshed and rejuvenated in this beautiful and healthy place.

In the autumn months, the natural clean up crew comes around to feast on the apples that drop from the trees.  These black bears clean up the wind-falls.
